How can I get my work published in Cut Me Up?

To get your work published in Cut Me Up, respond to the curatorial call found in the back of the most recent issue. Submissions must incorporate some portion of the latest issue and consider the curatorial guidelines. Additional details regarding formatting can also be found in the back of the issue. Submissions should be sent to: cutmeupmagazine@gmail.com.  

Are there any application fees? 

There are no application fees, just the cost of the magazine ($18). 

Do you ship internationally? 

Yes, we do!

Can I get a PDF of the latest issue? 

We prefer you purchase a copy of the magazine, however, PDFs of the issue are available under special circumstances. Please email us to inquire: cutmeupmagazine@gmail.com

Can I respond to more than one artwork? 

Yes, you’re allowed to incorporate as many artworks as you wish. 

Do I have to cut up the actual magazine?  

We encourage you to use the physical copy of the magazine, however, we are open to different processes. 

Can I incorporate additional materials in my submission?  

Yes, artists often include materials other than the previous Cut Me Up. Each call may encourage specific material considerations.

How can I create a 300-600 dpi image suitable for print?

Ensure your camera or scanner is set to the highest possible resolution before creating the image (do not size up the file after the image is taken). If you have any questions, please email: cutmeupmagazine@gmail.com.

How can I tell if you’ve received my submission?

You will receive a confirmation receipt once your submission has been successfully sent. We check submissions continuously and are aware of WeTransfer download times.

My image file is too large to be sent through email, what should I do?

Send your files via WeTransfer, a free service for sharing files up to 2 GB free. You may also send files through Google Drive or a similar file-sharing application.

Is there a limit to how many submissions I can send?

No.
